Burlington is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 452 at the 2000 census. As of the census of 2000, there were 452 people, 171 households, and 127 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,277.2 people per square mile. There were 174 housing units at an average density of 491.6/sq mi. The racial makeup of the village was 96.90% White, 1.33% Asian, 0.22% from other races, and 1.55% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.66% of the population.
There were 171 households out of which 39.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.5% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% were non-families. 21.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 3.07.
